There are a few women in business whom I really admire. Notably, they're all in design, reinventing segments of the industry they understood where there was a void, doing it their way. Sara Blakely (Spanx), Bobbi Brown, Tory Burch, Kelly Wearstler (KWID) and Tamara Mellon (Jimmy Choo) top my list. So too, thinks the NYTimes, who recently profiled Tamara Mellon, and her ever-expanding design reach. Her business was bought and sold several times while she tenaciously maintained the creative vision, outfitting women globally, staying atop Page Six, decorating flats in London and NYC and raising a daughter. Did I mention that she did this all while looking totally flawless? She's exciting for all these reasons. Can't wait to see what she does next.
